Visit Moncton

Moncton is a city from Canada, found in New Brunswick, the Westmorland County. Its location is in the middle of Maritime Provinces, so its nickname is Hub City, thanks to the fact that it’s also the transportation hub for this area. The metropolitan area of Moncton has a very fast growth rate, one of the fastest from Canada.

Moncton occupies a total area of 54 sq. miles, with 929 sq. miles occupied by the metro area. As for the population of the city, in 2006 it had 64,000 inhabitants, with the metro area being home to 127,000 people. Moncton is considered a bilingual city, with 65% of its inhabitants speaking English and the other 35% speaking French.

The city is not a large one and you should find it quite easy to move around in it. You will notice two streets, the Wheeler Boulevard and Trans-Canada, which are the main ones.

If you’re looking for something to do while you’re in town, you can visit the Acadian Museum, the Moncton Museum, Centennial Park or the Tidal Bore Park. As for fun, you can visit the city’s amusement park (Crystal Palace), Parlee Beach, Magic Mountain ( a water park) or one of the other local attractions. There are also a few shopping centers and malls in Moncton, which can be visited if you need to buy something.

Reader’s Digest said in 2008 that this is the most honest and polite city from Canada, which says quite a bit about it. You will enjoy the downtown area, the local attractions, the shopping experience and the cultural scene.

To get to Moncton, you can use the services of the Greater Moncton Airport, which can be found just 5 miles from the city, or you can get to it via car, rail or bus.
