Things To See In Moncton

The city of Moncton was called by Readers Digest the most honest and polite from Canada, which says quite a bit about it and its people. It’s certainly worth visiting if you’re in the area and the attractions below are some of the things which you can see while you’re in Moncton.

Magnetic Hill

The Magnetic Hill (which is actually not magnetic), has an optical illusion which makes it worth a visit. This optical illusion makes the watcher think that cars which are in neutral are coming up the hill by themselves. This is a feature that is enjoyed by both kids and adults and it should be on your to see list if you’re in town.

Magnetic Hill Zoo

In the same area of the Magnetic Hill, you will find the zoo, which has around 400 animal species in it. It’s a good way to spend an afternoon, either by yourself or with your kids.

Magic Mountain

This is the biggest water park from Atlantic Canada and also one of the biggest from the entire country. Families with kids should definitely check out Magic Mountain, though if you like to have fun, you can go there alone as well. You can have fun with the body slides, pools, the twister slide or the Kamikaze slide. If you want to have some fun, this should definitely be on your list to see.

Moncton Public Library

For a bit of culture while you’re in town, or if you’re looking for a bit of web access or a book to read, you can visit the Public Library of Moncton, which comes with more than 1.8 million items inside.

Moncton Museum

The Moncton Museum focuses on preserving the heritage of the city and its surrounding area, by collecting items which are important for it. There are workshops and guided tours here which should keep you busy if you decide to visit.
